WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is a journey where the client is the driver and the coach is the passenger. As we initiate the coaching process we establish a baseline of where the client is and focus on where the client wants to be. Together we embark on a voyage that will help the client gain the awareness of what has been keeping him stuck and not allowing them to reach their goals. We begin to explore these obstacles while also paying attention to the tools that have already been working in the past. The client creates a plan to help them move forward, one step at a time, towards their goal. In this process we continue to focus on what goes well and revisit what can change to move towards the progress the client desires.
Following the lead of the client the coach partners with their client to pave the road from where the client is to where they want to be.
WHY ADHD LIFE COACHING?
ADHD life coaching focuses on the whole individual and all of the ways in which ADHD may be impacting their lives. By emphasizing the client’s strengths the coach helps create a new perspective to bring awareness to those areas of challenge in a non-judgmental way challenging the client to set realistic and timely goals. Coaches help clients empower themselves by coming up with the solutions and systems necessary to reach these goals and live fulfilled lives.
WHAT IS EXECUTIVE FUNCTION?
Just as the CEO in a company is responsible for managing its overall operations, our executive function system helps us plan, pay attention, organize, remember instructions, make decisions, regulate behavior and help coordinate multiple overlapping skills. It allows us to set goals and get things done. Those with ADHD may struggle in one or more of these areas therefore interfering in their achievements at school, work, home and personal areas of life.

WHAT IF I AM NOT DIAGNOSED WITH ADHD?
Not all of our clients are diagnosed with ADHD. Many of the clients who we serve have executive function challenges and are hoping to improve their focus, organization, and time management skills. Other clients want to increase their connections with others or need help managing their emotions more effectively. At RewireADHD we use life coaching skills to support clients with their overall needs.
CAN WE TRULY “REWIRE” OUR BRAIN?
Our clients come to us looking to change old habits that are not serving them any more and build new habits that will support the lives they want to live. At RewireADHD we help our clients create new neurological pathways that will help them build these new habits. Every time our clients choose to implement an action to develop these new habits, they’re helping these pathways get stronger. This process needs to be repeated over and over again to strengthen the new pathways and eventually replace the old ones.
In our Transformation programs, clients start by becoming aware of what is not working and begin consciously choosing the actions to what they want to do instead. Along with the coaching many clients choose to use visualization and guided imagery to help access their subconscious mind. By directing their imagination to experience a desired situation we support our clients rewire their brain to form new neural pathways for future success.
HOW LONG WILL COACHING LAST?
The length of coaching will vary depending on the client’s needs and goals. After completing one of our Transformation programs, we will evaluate the client’s progress and goal achievement and will together decide whether the client is ready to enroll in our Keeping Momentum program where services will be slowly phased out.
WILL I NEED TO GO THROUGH THE KEEPING MOMENTUM PROGRAM?
After years of working with clients, we have realized that when clients stop their services abruptly without a gradual transition to phase them out from services they come back to us in moments of “crisis” (such as moving to a different school, beginning college, starting a new job, starting a new relationship) feeling overwhelmed and needing greater support from their coach.
The Keeping Momentum program creates a gradual transition from weekly meetings, to bi-monthly, every three-weeks and ultimately, monthly sessions. By spacing sessions using this format, clients continue to use the tools and strategies acquired in the Transformation programs with minimum coach support. In this way the client’s self-accountability increases as they feel ready to move on their own knowing they have the necessary tools to handle daily challenges.
ARE ALL YOUR SERVICES VIRTUAL?
Yes, since the pandemic we shifted to servicing our clients 100% virtually. This format has allowed us to reach clients of all different ages all over the world. Clients have reported equal progress in their goal achievement compared to the in-person services. Plus, they are able to receive support from the convenience of their homes (or dorms), without having to add travel time to their busy agendas.
DO YOU OFFER SERVICES IN SPANISH?
Yes, clients can choose to receive their services in English or Spanish or a combination of both.
